Browser cookies

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your harddisk or solid memory. When you visit a site that uses cookies for the first time, a cookie is downloaded onto your PC. The next time you visit that site, your PC checks to see if it has a cookie that is relevant (that is, one containing the site name) and sends the information contained in that cookie back to the site.

There are 3 categories of cookies:
  • 1) very necessary cookies (e.g. to store your session)
  • 2) Functional cookies, to boost the websites performance
  • 3) Targeted cookies, to optimize the user´s experience

Member login data

Cookies:
This site uses cookies to store your login name, for the next time you log in. Once you have logged in, your login name will be stored in a cookie. So if you visit our website later, this login name will be put in the login field automatically.
NOTE: This site also uses cookies to identify the current session. Without sessions, this website would not work.
User login data in our database:
For members we use a registration form to input the user data. The following fields are stored in the database.
  • - The email-address can be used to reset the user´s password, if it is lost.
  • - The username can be any fictitious name.
  • - The password will be stored encrypted in our database and cannot be reversed.
  • - The IP Address of the source request will be stored. This is necessary, to block users that enter SPAM or try the attack the website.
  • - Last login data and creation date
  • - The user´s profile image

Company data for the business listing entry

All data typed in the business entry form will be stored in our database. Fields are:
  • - Company name
  • - Address data (country,street,zip,city)
  • - Business category
  • - Opening hours
  • - Logo image
  • - Info field
  • - Company´s homepage URL
  • - Company´s phone-no
  • - Comments, ratings
Note: This submitted data is public in the internet for all users!! The information is also indexed in the Google search engine. So you have decide, what to show to other people and what you better hide.
Data ecpecially email addresses are NOT sold to 3rd parties and they will not be displayed somewhere else.

Data deletion:

If you are the owner of a company entry you can delete it, whenever you want. You can do this in your user´s dashboard or profile page.

Social media buttons

This site also uses social media plugins to share interesting links on social media sites like Google+, Twitter or Facebook.
Social media buttons sometimes use cookies.

Discussion plugin

Comments can be submitted by a 3rd party component called "DISQUS". Here you have to login with a Disqus, Twitter, Facebook or Google+ account in order to leave a message.
If you do not log in, no data will be transferred.
