Info
The Diamond Tower (in Italian Torre Diamante or colloquially Diamantone) is a high-rise in Milan Centro Direzionale, on the corner of viale Della Liberazione and via Galilei. It was built in the context of the urban requalification project called “Progetto Porta Nuova” (Porta nuova project).
The high-rise is 140 meters tall, making it the fourth building in Milan by height and the fifth in Italy (furthermore, it is the highest steel edifice in Italy).
The tower has a multifaceted structure, which recalls the shape of a diamond (from which, indeed, derives the name).
The building is surrounded by some lower constructions, called Diamantini (small diamonds), functioning as continuities of the high-rise. The Diamond tower and the Diamantini are commercial buildings.
The principal tenant is BNP Paribas bank since 2016.
