Mugda Medical College & Hospital is a 500-bed facility, for which construction began in 2006. The hospital opened in July 2013, and started admitting patients in early 2014. The hospital includes a 13-story building on 9.5 acres of land.This hospital is home to a new medical college of Bangladesh. It is the 4th government medical college inside Dhaka metropolitan city. From the first month of 2016, it has started classes of regular MBBS course.This medical college is running their 5th batch already. It has its own cultural, sports and social committee. Different programmes are held on occasions.
